Final Exam

The mean was about 74.8%, and the median was 77.2%. (Does everybody know the difference? The second one means that half of the people who took the test got better than 193/250=77.2%.) This was quite good, as the final was pretty hard.

Exam III

The median was 75 again; the mean was 72. Come to recitation to get your test back.

Exam II

The median was 75, and the mean was about 70.2. There will be no curve. Upon further consideration, I’ve decided to rebate everyone 7 points on this exam as well. Come to lecture to learn more.

Exam I

The exam was about a half-question too long. Accordingly, the grades will be scaled upward by 7 points. With that addition in place, the stats on the exam were as follows.

mean
71.875
median
71
